VideoTizer Download

This download updates your VideoTizer firmware and PC software to the latest versions. Any VideoTizer customer may update their firmware at no charge.

Important note: If your current firmware is older than 8/6/04, your VideoTizer will perform a thorough test of the program files on its hard drive for internal consistency, and correct any files it finds corrupted. This test will take longer than a normal update, and display its progress on the VideoTizer display. Please schedule your update for a time when you can spare a few extra minutes of having the system off-line.

1. If you have previously installed either the VideoTizer Browser ("IRIS Play Browser" in some releases) or the VideoTizer Scheduler, earlier than 4/15/2003, please shut them down and remove them from your PC. The VideoTizer Browser was called VT.exe and was typically installed in "Program Files\VideoTizer," while the VideoTizer Scheduler was called VTsched.exe and was typically installed in "Program Files\VideoTizer Scheduler."
2. Download the update program: SetupVT092904.exe (9/29/2004; 6.6MB)
3. Double-click the update program to begin installation. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
4. Start the VideoTizer Browser program from your Programs menu. A list of VideoTizers in your local network appears in the left side of the program. (If your VideoTizer does not appear, contact IRIS Technologies Technical Support.)
5. If your current VideoTizer firmware is older than November 2002, download this additional file: vt_updater.vtp. Right-click on your VideoTizer in the VideoTizer Browser and choose "Update." You will be prompted for a file; browse to the "vt_updater.vtp" file. Then click "OK" to update VideoTizer with this component. The transfer takes only a few seconds, and then the VideoTizer will restart. Wait for the VideoTizer to be running again.
6. Right-click on your VideoTizer in the VideoTizer Browser and choose "Update." You will be prompted for a file; browse to the "VT092904.vtp" file that was installed in the "packages" folder beneath your VideoTizer programs. Then click "OK" to update VideoTizer with this component. The transfer takes quite a few seconds, and then the VideoTizer will restart.
7. Once your VideoTizer has restarted, it is running the new firmware version, and is ready to use! Refer to the release notes for information on this version.

NOTE: the VideoTizer browser program may display a "Login" screen if you left-click on your VideoTizer. Simply click Cancel; you do not need any login information during an update.
