Video Content Analysis

In many professional fields, procedures are taught, or evaluated, by actually doing the task and recording the procedure on video tape. The procedure is then analyzed later to learn, critique or better understand what actually happened.

The problem with video tape is that it is so difficult to go back to a particular point. A process which is supposed to focus on learning from a recorded experience can bog down in a lot of wasted time using the fast forward and rewind buttons on a VCR.

Not so with the VideoTizer, the breakthrough digital video recording and playback system from IRIS Technologies. If you record your procedure on the VideoTizer, or transfer it from video tape into the VideoTizer, you can make ClipMarks every time you see a noteworthy moment in the procedure. These ClipMarks become instant access points. While playing the procedure, you can jump forward or back through ClipMarks just like the chapters on a DVD... plus you have all the smooth playback control you would find in a high-end VCR.

Add an optional keyboard to your VideoTizer and you can provide names and descriptions for your recorded procedures, and detailed names for the ClipMarks. These are all available through easy on-screen menus to find exactly the procedure, or clip, that you need, all ready for instant access. Any program or clip can always be transferred back to a VCR... or, using a PC network, moved to another VideoTizer to let your procedures be shared across several different rooms. Once you try using a VideoTizer for analysis and marking of your video, you will never want to use a VCR again.

If analysis of video content is part of your professional needs, don't delay! Call an IRIS Technologies sales representative today at 800-354-4747 to learn more about analyzing video content using the VideoTizer.

"The Counseling Department teaches graduate levels of counseling. Our traditional method of analyzing a videotaped counseling session was by manually typing each question by fast forwarding and rewinding through the entire session. With the VideoTizer, students can access and begin analyzing their most critical moments in seconds."
