Control Library Device Support

The IRIS SmartPort Device Controller and NEDstation Device Server products provide basic control capabilities for a wide variety of equipment and brands, using infrared control and some forms of wired serial communications.

Libraries of standard control functions are provided for the SmartPort and NEDstation to support a variety of devices. Baseline functionality we provide across models includes the following:

• VCRs / VTRs - play, pause, stop, record, fast forward, rewind
• TVs / Monitors - volume up/down, channel up/down and/or numeric entry
• Cable Boxes - channel up/down and/or numeric entry
• DVD, CD, Laserdisc players - play, pause, stop, prev track, next track, seek forward, seek reverse
