This is the current set of firmware files for the VC series of routers.
The files are stored in iNED Loadable format for upload through the iNED Browser.
Any VC Router customer is entitled to these downloads at no charge.
Installation Instructions (Video Commander Professional Edition)
- Download the firmware file(s) you need:
VC-8 multi-plane router: 8x8vaa.iNL (5/24/2004; 7KB)
VC-16V video router: 16x16v.iNL (5/24/2004; 7KB)
VC-16AB balanced audio router: 16x16a.iNL (5/24/2004; 7KB)
VC-16AU unbalanced audio router: 16x16ua.iNL (5/24/2004; 7KB)
VC-32V video router: 32x32v.iNL (5/24/2004; 7KB)
- In the iNED Browser, select the router unit you wish to update.
- From the "Tools" button in the Browser, select the choice
labeled "Upload file" (the name of the router is also shown
on this choice).
The "iNED File Uploader" window appears.
- Browse to the location of the file you downloaded and select it.
Click the "Open" button.
- The firmware uploads automatically.
When the upload is complete, the router unit restarts automatically,
and after a few seconds is available for use with the new firmware.
- If you have additional router units to update, repeat the steps above
as necessary.

Do I need this update?
This firmware release corrects a minor bug where a router would incorrectly recall the name assigned to
it if that name exceeded thirty characters in length.
If you are not experiencing difficulties with your router installation, there is no need to perform
the update.
