This is the current firmware file for the SmartPort SP-V30 device controller.
The file is stored in iNED Loadable format for upload through the iNED Browser.
Any SmartPort customer is entitled to this download at no charge.
Installation Instructions
- Download the firmware file:
SPV30.iNL (10/25/2005; 41KB)
- In the iNED Browser, select the SmartPort unit you wish to update.
- From the "Tools" button in the Browser, select the choice labeled
"Upload file" (the name of the SmartPort is also shown on this choice).
The "iNED File Uploader" window appears.
- Browse to the location of the file you downloaded and select it.
Click the "Open" button.
- The firmware uploads automatically.
When the upload is complete, the SmartPort unit restarts automatically,
and after a few seconds is available for use with the new firmware.
- If you have additional SmartPort units to update, repeat the steps above as necessary.

Do I need this update?
If you are presently using your SmartPort without difficulties, it is not necessary
to update your firmware.
However, if you update your library files, you definitely need to first upgrade your
SmartPort firmware.
 IR library files
There are a few library files that contain the
"knowledge" of what devices are supported by the SP-V30.
These libraries were last updated on 11/14/2005.
