NDS Firmware Download

This is the current firmware file for the compact Network Device Server. Any Video Commander Professional Edition customer running older versions is entitled to this download at no charge.

Caution: this version of NEDOS should be used with iNED PC client software version 1.3 as well. If you need both the PC client and the NED firmware, please download the iNED 1.3 CD Image instead.

Installation Instructions

1. Download the firmware file: NDS.iNL (11/14/2005; 1,020K)
2. Make sure that nobody else is using the NED server you will be updating. Also make sure you have a current backup of your server, in case something goes wrong.
3. In your iNED Browser, log into the NED server to be updated.
4. If the Browser warns you that the server firmware is out of date, click "Yes." After the login is complete, the "iNED File Uploader" dialog appears.
5. If you were not prompted to upload the firmware, click on the "Tools" button in the Browser, and select the choice labeled "Upload file" (the name of the server is also shown on this choice). The "iNED File Uploader" dialog appears.
6. Browse to the location of the NDS.iNL file you downloaded and select it. Click the "Open" button.
7. The firmware file uploads automatically. There is a several second pause at the beginning before the progress bar starts to move; this is normal and should not be a concern unless it continues for more than a full minute. When the upload is complete, the NED server restarts automatically, and after a few seconds is available to use with the new operating system.
8. At this point, you should be free to use all your normal iNED applications (Video Commander, Schedule Lineup, etc.) again.
